9/25/10 - Dave Ellsworth one day seminar Dave Ellsworth is probably the best know turner in America. Beginning his turning career in 1958 at age 14, David has been teaching and giving demonstrations ever since. If you have to choose just one Professional Demonstration to attend, this is the one. Morning sessions consist of demonstrating a natural-edge or cut-rim open bowl with detailed explanations, plus tool design and sharpening and, if time permits, turning a 15-minute natural edge bowl, all using the Ellsworth signature gouge*. Afternoon consists of turning a hollow form plus open discussions on any subject the club members might wish to propose in the time remaining.
