When Torben Helshoj, President and award-winning woodworker, was looking for a new partner to replicate the best selling LT16, he had high expectations. The standards had been set and would not be compromised as every Laguna Tools would have his trademark and pioneering patents. Torben’s idea was to take our best-selling European Bandsaws duplicated in Asia and save hundreds of dollars for our customers. While it took many versions and prototypes, the finished product has more benefits and features than its European cousins!
The 19-3/4"" x 15-3/4"" cast-iron table is the heart of the LT16 3000 Series, and the substantial 3HP Leeson motor is plenty powerful if you want to cut into logs or slice bookmark veneers. The extensive list of standard features include a foot brake with micro-switch, rack and pinion for the upper post. But that is not all, there are many more to tease you with.
