Irvine, California, April 10, 2008 -- In an effort to make the popular DriftMaster Fence available and usable to customers who do not own the Laguna Tools bandsaws, Laguna Tools has developed a kit that allows the DriftMaster to fit virtually any bandsaw. Now woodworkers can enjoy the unprecedented level of precision, performance and value that the DriftMaster provides.
Traditional fences on bandsaws are somewhat clumsy to adjust for drift. With the Laguna Tools DriftMaster Fence this adjustment is simple. With two easy steps, loosen a handle and turn a wheel, the wheel gives the woodworker the ability to micro-adjust the fence to the desired angle and cut extremely fast without using any tools. Another great feature of the DriftMaster is the ability to connect the fence to a threaded rod. When the fence is connected to this rod, it can then be moved by turning the handle. The woodworker counts the revolutions, or fractions of revolutions and the same veneer thickness is made every time.
Another great feature of the DrifMaster Fence is the ability to position the fence in both the resaw position which gives the fence a four inches in height and in the rip position with a ½" height.
