The 38" Wide-Belt Sander is designed with the small professional woodworker in mind.
It is difficult to find a comparable product at such a reasonable price anywhere. When you install 60 or 80 grit sand paper it is possible to use the machine to calibrate a piece of wood. When using 100 grit or finer the machine turn into a nice finish sander.
Sanding thickness settings are achieved using a handwheel and a digital height gage tells you exactly the thickness you are sanding.
sanding belt tension is also adjusted by a handwheel and an ingenious spring loaded roller puts the correct tension on the belt and at the same time allows for the belt stretching which takes place as you generate heat during the sanding process.
The carpet feeding speed is adjustable. The feed motor is a high quality DC motor which powers the carpet through a gear box. The speed is adjusted on the front of the machine with a small dial.
