The Laguna Platinum Series shaper is the perfect machine for custom milling. The large fence is micro-adjustable on the infeed and outfeed and has a T-slot for jigs, fixtures, and stops and is anchored to a cast-iron hood assembly with a 4 dust port. The powerful 4 HP Leeson TFEC motor provides plenty of power for the most demanding jobs. The entire spindle housing and motor assembly raises and lowers on dovetail ways for absolute precision and durability and locks in place for repeatability. The oversized cast-iron work surface is micro-grain and heat treated cast-iron. The centralized control panel features a 3-position arm for ease of use. The miter slot is a precision milled T-slot which is perfect for jigs and fixtures. Standard equipment includes: Micro-adjustable fence with safety hold downs and hold backs, 3/4" and 1-1/4" spindles, 1/4" and 1/2" router collets, cast-iron extension wing, miter gauge, table inserts, starter pin, 2 clear overhead cutter guards, clear cutter shield, and tool kit.
